I know this already happened, but I am trying to post the pictures from April on, so I will have to retell the stories along the way. Lia was born on April 29, 2006. She was set to be the 10th granchild on the Granstaff side, but she didn't want to wait her turn and ended up coming in 9th :)! Her place as the 1st Petty grandchild was never contested.




Anyway, my water broke at 4am on Saturday and 11 hours and one epidural (thank the LORD for drugs!) later we had a little angel to hold and love on. Lia Belle was born at 3pm exactly and weighted 7lbs exactly. She had a full head of dark hair and some VERY long fingers. She had a little trouble breathing at first, so the nurses took her to the NICU for observation. Everything ended up being fine and she spent the rest of her time at the hospital in the room with Mommy and Daddy.

She had lots of visitors those first few days....
Nana and Papa B, GMommy, Vicki and Micah, Llew and Lisa, Noelle and Luke, Tom, Amy and Emma.

Also, she ended up sharing her birthday with her cousin, Terrin, who was born one hour after Lia. we had a great stay at the hospital and came home on Monday to a wonderully clean house (thanks Tina!!!).
